Bird Watching at Bay Vista Waterfront Motel

Our motel is situated on 2 acres of park like grounds full of native bush which has encouraged many birds to settle here.  We were lucky enough to have some bird watchers list for us the many bird species they saw during their 3 night stay at our motel.  

These include: Grey Heron, White Heron, Black Swan, Grey Duck, Mallard Duck, Chaffinch, Starling, Pied Shag, Pied Oyster Catcher, King Fisher, Farry Tern (white fronted), Caspieen Tern (red bill), Thrush, Black Bird, Black Beacked Gull, Tui, Bell Bird, Fantail, Spur Winged Plover, Paradise Shell Duck, Weka, Gannet
