Here at Bay Vista Waterfront Motel we are lucky to be situated 5 minutes out of town on our own 2 acres of grounds with plenty of space, native bush and fresh sea air. We have only 7 units here at Bay Vista which makes coming in contact with other people at close proximity very uncommon. All our staff are vaccinated against Covid-19 (and are happy to have this information disclosed).
We require masks to please be worn in reception, with a one person inside at any time policy. Our reception desk has a perspex screen and the window and door is open all day. We have pay wave installed on our eftpos machine and sanitiser on the front desk for use also. If you would like your check in to be entirely contactless we are happy to let you know which room number you are in, and to charge your card manually before your arrival.
As Covid-19 is predominately an airborne virus, when a customer vacates their unit we open all the windows and doors immediately to air out for the rest of the day with the sea breeze flowing through it. All units are cleaned by vaccinated housekeepers wearing masks, with commercial grade sanitiser/disinfectant etc. The small things like remotes, phones, switches, window latches and room keys are not left untouched and are part of our daily sanitising routine.
Servicing of Units:
All house keeping is performed by a vaccinated employee wearing a mask. If possible this will be done at a time when you have gone out for the morning to minimise any close contact. If you do not wish for anyone else to enter your room after you have checked in with us this is no problem at all. Just let us know.
Cancellations due to COVID 19:
We do not charge for Covid-19 cancellations if you go into lockdown at short notice. Other than this, all of the normal cancellation policies apply which can be found on the terms and conditions page.
Lastly I do want to thank you for supporting our motel in these uncertain times. Here at Bay Vista we have a young family so we thank you for your co-operation with our reception rules to protect the small people we love dearly.
